Light color:

SATCO LED shoebox retrofit light bulb with 110 watts for many types of parking lot pole parking lot light fixtures. Replaces a variety of metal halide and high pressure sodium bulbs to save energy. The LED array distributes the light evenly in every direction while providing a certain amount of visual comfort, reducing glare. This LED shoebox lighting retrofit offers quality lighting for wide-ranging applications and delivers excellent energy savings compared to metal halide or HPS parking lot light fixtures. This is probably the easiest way to retrofit existing parking lot parking lot light fixture or even something like the wallpack type light. This will give maximum light output without having to do the complete retrofit with all new hardware. Simply screw this into an existing light socket IP that and you will be able to aim it in any direction you choose. Its dimensions are made to fit almost any parking lot light fixture that is used for parking lots or any larger type of area lighting application. This particular one is 80 watts and that means it's going to replace up to a larger 250 watt HID lighting package. For those of you who want to save energy was still getting excellent lighting in a simple to use item, then this might be a good solution for you. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that the ballast will have to be bypassed. You also get a choice of light color of the either 3000K or 5000K. The 3000 K is like soft white incandescent lighting and the 5000K is like noontime daylight, a much white light and something that most people perceive as brighter. For those of you who really want to save a lot of energy, this is a good solution for parking lot lighting. Replacing those old HID light bulbs is a good idea and you'll get a fast payback. Of course, a lot of people ask us whether it's a good idea to use something like this as opposed to something like a corncob type of LED light. We think this works better because it directs all the light out of the fixture, there's no light bouncing around so you get maximum effective lighting and fewer waste. This is going to last you for many years to come with excellent energy savings and good lighting performance. There's never been a better time to choose LED lighting retrofits to replace those old parking lot parking lot light fixture internal parts. This is an easy way to do it and all you have to do is bypass the ballast. Some people also ask if bypassing the ballast is the best solution, and to that we would say yes. Anytime you can remove a component out of your system, you're going to have fewer chance of something failing in the future. If you can afford the rewire and take out the ballast and wire directly to 120 or 277 volt , then that would be the optimal situation for future savings. Not only will you get a little bit better efficiency, but you just won't have to mess with the ballast ever again. This is the highest wattage version we have of this and it will replace the 400 watt metal halide or high-pressure sodium. It has an excellent beam spread which is going to give you maximum widespread creating good crossover from one parking lot light fixture to another. And with a five-year warranty you're protected from early failure and we stand behind all the LED retrofit products that we sell.

General information.
At, we carry the highest quality commercial lighting fixtures that can perform for many years to come bringing you energy efficiency and excellent lighting. It’s essential to get parking lot lighting correct because good security at night keeps people safe. Whether you have a commercial building or a retail location, having good even lighting throughout an area prevents some criminal activity and gives people a sense of a secured area. With these LED parking lot lights, you get a crisp white light that cameras respond well to giving the optimal visual set up.

Saving money is a beautiful thing.
All of the parking lights you see here are wet location rated and can be used in any outdoor lighting situation. They are made to be put on poles as individual parking lot light fixtures or multiples depending on your lighting needs and where you put them in the parking area. Not only do we have the parking lot light fixtures, but we also have the poles and the bullhorns that they are mounted on. So this can be a complete lighting system that you can get for your next project or just replacing your existing HID lighting fixtures with something more energy efficient. If you’re thinking about moving to a more efficient LED area light, this will save you a lot of money by replacing older HID type of lighting. There’s never been a better time to take a look at changing existing lighting over to some commercial LED pole lighting that cannot only save you a lot of money but also give you better lighting as a result. If you want to know how much energy that you can keep with this type of lighting, we have a free downloadable Excel spreadsheet on the left-hand column of our website. You can do a simple lighting calculation, and it can tell you everything from how much money you’ll save to the payback time that you’ll get. The payback time is that length of time that it takes for the savings to equal the energy savings you get. And for most people, they’re often changing something like high-pressure sodium or metal halide type of parking lot light fixture, and so the savings are going to be substantial as most parking lots are lit all night long. With this spreadsheet, you can put in your kilowatt costs, how many hours a day it’s being run and the wattage and it will give you all the information you need. It’s not an exhaustive audit by any means, but it does give you an obvious indication as to how much you can save. There may even be some electric utility rebates that could apply to your situation which would reduce payback even further.

Color makes the difference.
Another consideration that people need to take into account when changing over to new parking lot lighting is the color temperature. Sometimes people think it’s not that important then they will say that you can give me whatever you feel is best, but we don’t like to do that. It’s an individual choice whether you want something that’s going to have a warmer color appearance or something that’s going to be a cooler color. Typically the warmer color is something around 3000K; cool white is about 4100K and daylight is 5000K. A lot of businesses though prefer the 5000K daylight white lighting color because it’s so good with black and white contrast, reading and visual acuity. But for most outdoor LED situations, you’re not doing reading; you want to have good security. And even though the light levels are lower than interior lighting, our eyes adjust to that lower light level, but will often respond to certain color temperature. The daylight color is what many people want to have in an outdoor lighting situation because of security cameras and the ability to see better under that kind of light.

How many parking lights will you need?
If you’re wondering how many of these LED lights you would need for your parking lot area, that’s something we can help you with. We can run software that will tell us exactly what you might want to use in a particular situation. But for the most part, when a new project is specified, that’s done by an engineer or an architect. So if you’re a general contractor, you’ll be using those professionals for that type of situation. Where we can sometimes help is on a smaller job basis and give you a little bit more information as to what might be a right direction to go. Keep in mind that when replacing HID with LED it’s about a 4 to 1 ratio HID wattage to LED watts. So if you have a 400 watt HID like metal halide or high-pressure sodium, you would replace that with something like a 100 to 150 watt LED. It’s a simple rule of thumb, and a lot depends on how it’s mounted and how high up it is in the air. There are many different factors to take into account, but if you’re doing a one for one replacement of older HID lighting, then it’s not too complicated. We also have options for people that want to keep the parking lot light fixture they have but retrofitted with LED. You’ll also see those options in this category, and that’s considered a retrofit which you have to bypass the ballast and connect directly to power. These are just some simple rules when thinking about replacing existing parking lot lights with something more energy-efficient.

Less maintenance is sheer happiness.
All this being said about energy efficiency and saving money, we haven’t touched on the maintenance savings that you’ll get. If you’re a building owner or a property manager and you have to maintain existing HID lighting, you know what a kind of a pain it can be over time. You have to take a look at how many of the lights are going out at any one time and see if it’s best to change them all at once. And because that can happen every few years, there’s a more significant cost in maintenance. You also have to hire somebody to do the work whether it be an electrician or some maintenance company that will do this for you on a regular basis. A lot of times this is done in the middle of the night when nobody is around, so that’s not much of an issue if you’re talking about a retail or building location, but you still have to do it, and it is expensive to have them come out with the left and do all that work. Because LED is so long-lasting and many times you won’t even have a light bulb to change anymore, there’s going to be far less maintenance on any of these type of parking lot light fixtures. You may have very little at all over the number of years that it will operate. These are a completely sealed unit so you’re not going to get dirt and bugs inside which can retard light output also. It was always a problem with HID lighting; the bugs loved it! So now you can get a system that you don’t have to maintain like you did before and it’s going to save you a lot of money in the future. If you consider that along with energy savings, you’re going to have a swift payback.

Long-term performance, you bet!
All of the parking lot parking lot light fixtures that we carry have excellent construction and are made for long-term performance. Not only do they have great construction but the beam angles and distribution will give you even better lighting than what you may have today. As mentioned before, these are completely sealed units which mean wet location rated. They can be rained on directly, and you will not have any problems with any of the seals, and no water is going to get inside the unit. There also made of heavy-duty powder coat paint which is going to prevent sun damage and is going to give you many years of reliable service. Powder coating material is much better than regular paint, and it keeps its color and looks for many years to come. There’s not an outdoor parking lot light fixture made today that doesn’t do powder coating, and that includes these LED parking lot lights. Aesthetically it’s going to look very good, even better than the HID lighting you may be replacing. That type of light tended to be very boxy because it had the house the ballast and had the reflectors to guide the light in a specific direction. With LED you don’t have that anymore, so it leads to a more contoured form and shallow profile. LED technology is changing the way parking lot light fixtures are designed because these lower profile, higher design looks can be done like never before. So if you want to update the look of your parking area and make it more modern and perhaps a little bit minimalist, then this might be a good solution at this time.

Time to upgrade your lighting's look.
There’s never been a better time to upgrade your outdoor parking areas with more efficient lighting that gives you all these aesthetic upgrades while saving the most money possible. For most buildings, retail locations, apartments, anywhere there’s a parking lot, owners will see a very long life from all of these types of parking lot light fixtures. Most situations will see anywhere from 10 to 20 years of actual use before the parking lot light fixtures will need to be replaced. By that time, we might see some exciting upgrades to LED lighting. The chances are that will have something more energy-efficient if you haven’t replaced it already with something that is a different design. So with energy savings, and upgrade to your outdoor spaces, lower maintenance,  utility rebates and other reduce costs, you can do very well by taking a look at replacing existing lighting that you have with one of our high-quality parking lot lights. Most of these lights carry anywhere from 5 to 7-year warranty, so that’s going to protect you from any early failure. If you have a problem, you call us and will help you get satisfaction from that warranty. All of our lighting products carry some warranty for the LEDs, and our manufacturers stand behind the products.
