MR11 Halogen Light Bulbs
MR11 light bulbs are a type of halogen bulb that are commonly used in track lighting, landscape lighting, and other small spotlights.
MR11 halogen light bulbs are used widely in many different types of lighting applications. You'll find them in specialty fixtures including a display and track lighting. You'll find our MR11 lamps ideal for any display or use in a home lighting situation. The rendering of light and shadow produces a dramatic effect. These are smaller than MR16 lamps and have a 1.4-inch reflector opening. They also have a G4 base which is two pins set at 4mm apart at 12 volts. It has a 2000 hour life and creates a wonderful white light that accents products or your home decor. Even though they have a smaller pin spacing, they often use the same socket as larger mirrored reflector lamps. Many times the small light fixtures that use these will often be a display as stated before, but it's the kind of displays that usually have a low wattage associated with them. Of course, there are track light fixtures and some recessed lighting that also use MR11 halogen light bulbs. And because it's 12 volt,s it can be a viable light for something like landscape lighting. It's a very bright lamp for such a small package and keeps light fixtures to a smaller size so as not to draw attention to themselves.
