LED 18 watt corncob light bulbs are a 120/277 volt amber color, 70 watt HID replacement providing the light you need with extremely long life. Ideal for enclosed outdoor light fixtures. You probably won't have to change these bulbs for many years while still providing excellent illumination. Because this is rated at 120/277 volts, there are many applications that can now use LED lighting that couldn't before. This would include security lighting, post top lighting as well as retrofitting flood lights. There are so many places that these can be used to make the light fixtures more energy-efficient. It sometimes also called a corn cob light as it resembles that with it's rows of LEDs up and down the light bulb. This is a LED replacement that is easy to implement by simply screwing it into existing sockets that are 120 volt up to 277 volt. If you’re replacing something that had a ballast previously, you will need to remove the ballast and directly wire the socket to voltage. It’s bright white light will do a better job than even existing lighting that you may have already. For those of you interested in a warm white light, we do have those as an option if you need that. And for some people they want to have something that’s in between something like a cool white, for that we would refer you to this 5000K light because it’s going to work better in an outdoor nighttime situation. Even though this is not always the optimal thing to do, high bay light fixtures could incorporate this as well. You can certainly do that if it applies to your situation, but we have better alternatives now that will work better in that type of lighted environment.
