2D 38 watt light bulbs with 3500K light color were developed for special fixtures that needed a high light output compact light source. If you have a light fixture that has these, you won't be able to use any other kind of light bulb in it's place. It's a really unique light bulb and comes in several wattage although the wattage are not interchangeable. The color is a neutral white color temperature appearance so it works well in homes and in multi-housing unit's to give a comfortable inviting appearance.
