F17T8 - 841 Shatter Resistant Fluorescent Bulbs
F17T8 fluorescent light bulbs measure 24" inches long and 1" inch in diameter.
F17T8 shatter resistant fluorescent bulbs are used in standard four foot fixtures in places like restaurants or food service where broken glass cannot be tolerated. These have a good color rendition and many people have converted to these as a part of an energy saving program. The F17T8 is a 2 foot lamp and uses the same bipin sockets as regular T12 lamps. They have a ballast that is specific to this type. The coating will last the life of the lamp and requires nothing special when installing.
