LED Linestra type bulbs are the natural replacement for the incandescent bulb, bringing more energy efficiency to this type of installation. Linestra type lamps are made to match the color of the old incandescent type and still give you that wonderful warm glow that you see around bathroom mirrors and some linear runs of lighting. These specialty bulbs have the same double prong base and so it fit's in existing Linestra type fixtures without any modification whatsoever. All you have to do is plug these new LED Linestra type bulbs in, and they work. This particular LED is not the dimmable type, this one works with an on-off switch only. It consumes roughly 90 percent fewer electricity and it has extremely long life of 50,000 hours. That means it runs 50 times as long as the older incandescent Linestra type which were 1000 hours. They are not susceptible to vibration which sometimes has been an issue in the past and shortened life of the older types. The LED Linestra type lamps can be used in existing fixtures but it's also great for new lighting fixtures that we also have for new construction. It delivers a bright light which has the right color that's still going to be very flattering for skin tones making it ideal for many bathroom lighting situations. So you can save energy now and get everything in this linear source of light, high light output, excellent light color and energy efficiency. Many of our customers have wondered whether they can directly replace the old linear incandescent version with a LED Linestra type bulb. The answer is yes! All you have to do is take out the old incandescent Linestra type and put in this new LED Linestra type bulb. There's no rewiring of the fixture that is required, all you have to do is the simple replacement. All the electronics for the LED are in the bulb itself. It will work on any existing Linestra type lighting fixture that you have currently. There's probably never been an easier way to save energy and get better light for existing installations. Many people have used these in bathrooms around mirrors and if you have one that's gone out and you're thinking about replacing it, best to replace all of them at the same time. Everything will then look the same even though the color temperature is exactly right, many people will say that the LED is a little bit brighter. So it's best to change them at the same time. These operate on standard 120 volt circuit's just like the old ones did and these happen to be the non-dimmable version. We do have dimming versions of the same lamps for those of you who want to have that dimming capability. For most installations, you probably won't change these for many years to come, some people will probably get over 20 years of use out of them depending on how they use their lighting. It's the perfect replacement for a light that has gone obsolete in the incandescent bulb version, we can no longer get any stock on those so LED is the only choice. The good news is it's a perfect replacement and will look like your old incandescent and save you a lot of energy. The warm white color and the warm light is the same as the older style Linestra type's and it will be a great replacement for cabinet or vanity lighting. The T8 linear shape is the same and the color temperature is the same 2700K light color that the incandescent had even though it is a complete LED light source.
