With this particular light you get a choice of light color which would be 2700K or 3000K and it all depends on what you want. The 2700K is very much like a warm white incandescent and the 3000K is like a soft white incandescent. The difference can be subtle but the higher color temperature gives you just a little bit more white in the color and a lot of people like that. Once you put these in your track lighting or recessed lighting, you probably won't have to change it for many years to come because of it's highly rated life of 25,000 hours.
