Quartz Double Ended Halogen

Quartz double ended halogen lamps have a seemingly endless number of fixtures that they are used in including some we have featured on our site. The compact tubular size makes them ideal where maximum light control is needed. You'll often see quartz double ended lamps used in portable flood lights, standard flood lights, torch lamps and many, many others. They come in a short and long version. Be careful not to touch the quartz glass with your hands when installing as skin oils can react with the quartz glass shortening lamp life. The ceramic ends are a sturdy construction so pushing them in a tight fixture won't break the glass tube. Wattages can be interchangeable but stay within the wattage guidelines of the light fixture you have right now.
