Metal Halide Light Bulbs

Metal halide light bulbs are the high intensity white lights that you see operating street lighting or warehouses and security lighting.  You'll see these used everywhere and they're often specified by architects and engineers when they want high light output and good color rendition.  These are very energy-efficient and deliver an excellent amount of illumination for whatever kind of application you may have.  These are made by all the major brands including General Electric, Sylvania and Philips as well as many third-party manufacturers.  You'll find that between these three there is some variation in the color of the light, but they are fairly consistent.  These operate on a magnetic core and coil ballast most of the time but some are coming out that operate on an electronic ballast. Metal halide light bulbs will continue to be used in many applications where good light control is needed and energy efficiency is desired.
