High Pressure Sodium Light Bulbs - Mogul Base by Wattage

High pressure sodium light bulbs with mogul base are often described as having a yellow light with the base being a very large industrial base. It's used in places where good energy efficiency and high ullimination is required. These lamps typically have some of the highest light outputs of any HID lighting.  Many people would describe these as a yellow light, although they really have a golden white color which still gives decent color rendering properties. These require a core and coil ballast which starts the lamp and maintains its operation.  It also requires a fixture that can take the high amounts of heat that it produces and there are fixtures that are specially made for these lamps.   There are several different manufacturers of these lighting products including Sylvania, GE and Philips as well as many others which meet certain standards for these lamps.
