GU10 base MR16 black halogen light bulbs are designed to let no light out the back of the lamp. many times when people have track lighting they have an offensive light spill out the back of a typical MR16 lamp. To alleviate that problem, bulb designers have blacked out the back of this reflector. This eliminates all the offensive like going out the back. Use these GU10 base MR16 black back halogen lamps to keep certain areas of the ceiling unlit especially in a retail lighting situation. These still have a great light output just like regular MR16 lamps, but these have a GU10 base and are a 120 volt lamp.
