Mogul base high pressure sodium light bulbs have a very large industrial base. You've probably seen them in used flood lights, warehouse situations where energy efficiency is very important. There are a variety of wattages but they all use a different ballast. The color rendering of high pressure sodium light bulbs are fairly poor making them a good choice in situations that are not color critical. If you need a light fixture that uses these, they are sometime labeled as HPS lamps as well. Mogul base high pressure sodium light bulbs are used when the maximum amount of light is desired.
