Philips PL-L compact fluorescent light bulbs for many types of commercial lighting with a slim shape.

One of the original high wattage CFL's was the Philips PL-L compact fluorescent light bulbs in the shape that you see here. It has two T5 linear shapes which create the light output and four pins in a row at the base. There are other manufacturers of these higher wattage compact fluorescents, but those have a different shape and in some cases they don't work in the same place that the Philips brand does. Those are made by Sylvania and GE which have a curved end, but they are really the same. These operate on an electronic ballast and have good end-of-life protection so they won't overheat.  You'll often see these used in 2x2 fixtures or cove lighting.  Because of their great energy efficiency, they're often specified in many new buildings and they have the capability of being dimmable.  The dimmable capability really comes into play when you have the correct dimming ballast.  This combination lends itself well to applications where you need to get a very low light output to a very high light output and getting all the energy savings that you need.

Philips PL-L compact fluorescent light bulbs represent the latest technology in energy-efficient lighting.  The colors are excellent as well, with warm colors such as a 3500K color or a cooler color such as 4100K, even 5000K full spectrum, which is much like outdoor lighting.  You'll find that these work well with other types of lighting that's known for energy efficiency such as T8 lamps. All together these make a very good set up for keeping a building or a home very energy-efficient while getting the light output that you desire.  Even higher wattages of these are coming out, but right now 18, 24, 36, 40 and 55 watt are the standards.

Philips have been developing many new kinds of fluorescent lighting and are a leader in this area of lighting. Some of the first compact fluorescent to come out were made by this company and they continue to be a trusted manufacturer of this kind of lamp. If you need help with any of the wattages of colors of the Philips PL-L compact fluorescent light bulbs, then you can call us and get the answers you  need. The numbering for this lamp is at the base where it plus into the socket. Please note that these wattages are not interchangeable as the ballast operates a dedicated lamp or wattage.
