These will replace high wattage incandescent, but also 70 watt HID lighting like metal halide or high pressure sodium. This size makes the LED ceiling mount light fixture ideal for many types of low to medium height lighting applications. The acrylic lens protects the LED array and it helps distribute the light evenly in every direction while providing a certain amount of visual comfort, reducing glare.
