G25T8 germicidal light bulbs for eliminating germs in the air.

When it's time to eliminate the problems of microbial growth in the air, then G25T8 germicidal light bulbs are one of the most effective ways to do it. These are most often used in hospitals, restaurants or anywhere germ killing is desired. You'll also find this technology in air and water purification. The need to keep an environment under control is more important than ever with some of the hardier strains of germs. Killing them in the air is an effective way to reduce the problems associated with secondary infections and so many facilities are aware of the need to sterilize the air around them.  They have an unusual glow which is light purple in color and the glass on the tube has no phosphor, it's totally clear. The length of the G25T8 is 17.2 inches long from tip to tip and they require a fixture made to accommodate the bulb.

The G25T8 germicidal light bulbs are not an exclusive design to any manufacturer, companies like Sylvania, GE and Philips make them. With a medium bipin base, G25T8 bulbs are a perfect solution to get the proper replacement in a hospital or restaurant lighting situation. One thing to keep in mind is that you shouldn't operate these lamp where there is direct contact to skin and eyes. It's bad for them and can cause skin burns as well as retinal damage. That's why most fixtures that use these lamps are as an indirect light source or totally sealed up for certain kinds of lighting applications. This bulb is probably one of the more unusual types of germicidal bulbs on the market and are much different in length than many of the others. The diameter is the same as G15T8 and G30T8.
