F30T12 fluorescent light bulbs with 36 inch length for many applications.

This lamp is still probably one of the most used when it comes to some kinds of lighting for the home. There are many fixture manufacturers who still make retail lighting fixtures that use these kind of lamps.  Of although they have been used in many decades past, they are being phased out for many kinds of applications with the advent of more energy-efficient T8 lamps.  The flexibility they offer is much greater in there so much more you can do with the colors that they offer, but still many people have these lamps in the replacements. Because they are still so popular, we continue to carry them in several various phosphor choices. If you have these F30T12 fluorescent light bulbs, it should be labeled like all fluorescents, stamped on the bulb with other pertinent information like color.  The F30T12 comes in one length which is 36 inches.  F30T12 fluorescent light bulbs come in a cool white, warm white and daylight color so the bright white stands out in displays or in task lighting.

The F30T12 fluorescent is not an exclusive to any manufacturer, all the major lighting entities have made them including GE, Sylvania and Philips plus many other smaller makers.  Sometimes these are available in daylight color and Designer colors from Sylvania. The Designer colors are more expensive than the old cool white or warm white, but consider using them anyway as they will deliver more benefit for you.  If you're a retail store, you'll see colors jump out like never before which could translate into more sales.  If you have an office, you'll find the a better color rendition and contrast will be noticed by people working there as easier on the eyes.

Whatever the lighting application, please note that the ballast is a magnetic one which is specially designed to operate this lamp. If you have a fixture that doesn't have the lamp in it and you're unsure about the lamp itself, then open the ballast cover and check the label.  All ballasts have a label that identifies what fluorescent lamp is the one for the ballast.  The ballast is an electrical device that starts the fluorescent bulb with a higher voltage then goes to a lower operating voltage after the initial start.

If you're looking to save electrical costs, you may want to consider the F25T8 fluorescent as a suitable replacement. They're more energy efficient and operate on electronic ballasts. The length is the same and the pins are identical so it will fit anywhere an F30T12 fluorescent will fit. The only thing to remember is that you'll have to change the ballast as the F25T8 does not operate on the same ballast that the F30T12 does, which is usually magnetic. The most popular manufacture of these lamps use Sylvania and they call their T8 lamps, Octron. The only real difference is that the T12 lamp is 1.5" in diameter and the T8 is 1 inch in diameter along with the differences discussed here already.

With a medium bipin base, F30T12 fluorescent light bulbs are still a good solution to get right light for offices or homes. Call us if you have any questions about these lamps.  We stock them in sufficient quantities to meet almost any need that you may have.
