European base E14 halogen light bulbs for imported or specialty fixtures.

It's a regular halogen bulb, but it has a special E14 base that has larger diameter base than other types of single end lamps.  This base is commonly used outside the US but has become used here more because of the import of many light fixtures from Europe that use it.  Along with the special nature of the base, these lights have been used in many applications where high illumination is required.  You'll find these used in many European lights such as wall sconce and specialty lights.  The European E14 halogen light bulbs are very common because of this need for high light output.  These are like a lot of halogen lamps where you can't touch the quartz glass, because if you do, it will cause all the shorter lamp life.  Most people are familiar with these with more familiar bases such as MC minican (E11), double contact (DC) and candelabra (E12).  The heavy filament structure of these lamps makes them a more vulnerable to things like vibration which causes are shorter life.  If you're familiar with candelabra base bulbs, these are slightly larger and just won't fit in any E12 base properly.

Because the light is very white and intense, it's perfect for certain kinds of outdoor lighting at night or inside a home where certain construction needs high illumination.  We carry these in many wattages and there are choices of voltage as well.  You'll find them to be as low as 50 watts and as high as 500 watts.  In most recessed lighting, they're used in very high ceilings of up to 50 feet.  It's cases like this that require a high wattage to properly illuminate the space.  You'll often see these in auditoriums, churches and other kinds of general meeting areas.

It can be a little confusing with all the different choices there are, but it doesn't have to be at all.  There are just a couple of things to keep in mind when ordering these lamps.  First of all, you need to know what the wattages are and usually that's listed somewhere on the base along with the voltage.  The other thing to determine is the base.  These bulbs could be the same wattage, but they have a different base as was mentioned before.  So if you have the E14 base correct and the wattage, you'll be able to select the right one.

So no matter what kind of European E14 halogen light bulbs you may need whether it be 75 watt or 250 watt, we should be able to meet your needs. If you're really not sure about the lamp itself for the fixture it goes into, or if you need a fixture that uses these, we would be happy to help you.
